Israel issues tenders for more settler units in the West Bank and East Jerusalem al-Quds. Settlement watchdog, Peace Now says the tenders were published for a total of 18-hundred-59 settler units. According to the NGO, about two-fifths of the units will be built in occupied east Jerusalem al-Quds. The announcement comes only days after Israel gave the final approval for 15-hundred new settler units in east Jerusalem al-Quds. Israel\'s settlement activities have been a main obstacle in the so-called peace talks between the Palestinian Authority and Tel Aviv. The Palestinian Authority has condemned the move as a flagrant violation of international law, saying it plans to turn to the UN Security Council and international courts to stop Israel\'s illegal activities. Israel\'s settlement activities are illegal under international law.

Reports from Syria say Kurdish fighters have managed to recapture a key town in the country\'s north-east.
Press TV sources say the Kurdish People\'s Protection Units, known as YPG, have regained control of Tall Hamis town near the Turkish border. The Kurdish fighters retook the town following fierce fighting with the Al-Qaeda linked militants, who were heavily occupying the area. Reports say the YPG forces have also advanced in al-Husseinia village which is located near Tal Hamis. The victory is not the first for the YPG, as the group has previously taken control over several areas in the region.

Syrian media reports reject the opposition\'s latest accusation that government forces used chemicals in Damascus countryside.
Syrian media say claims of a gas attack by the army in al-Nabek are completely false and baseless. They\'re calling the allegation an attempt to justify the recent defeats of terrorist groups in their confrontations with army units. This comes a day after the foreign-backed opposition accused government troops of using poison gas. Back in August, hundreds of people lost their lives in a nerve gas attack around Damascus. Both sides blamed each other for the attack. Later on, the Syrian government agreed to give up the country\'s chemical weapons arsenal when an agreement between the U-S and Russia averted an attack on Syria.

Syrian army victories against foreign-backed militants have become a fact nearly on a daily basis, especially in Damascus and its suburbs. Press TV team accompanied Syrian army units in parts of al-Qaboun area that have been cleared of the foreign-backed militants. The Army regained control over the main bus station in al-Qaboun where Syrians used to head to any other Syrian city. However, armed men, who occupied it for nearly two months, destroyed it completely. Syrian army units have managed to completely secure the 1.5 kilometer industrial zone in al-Qaboun area which links Barzeh, al-Qaboun and Jobar together. Army personnel underlined the strategic importance of the secured area.

Foreign-backed militants continue their attacks on residential areas in Syria.
The insurgent shelling of the Meridian district of the northern city of Aleppo killed several civilians on Wednesday. They also captured the area of Adra, northeast of the capital Damascus. More than 20 civilians, mostly Alawites, are said to have been killed in the militant attack there. This is while, Kurdish People\'s Protection Units have recaptured the north-eastern village of Tweineh, near al-Hasakah city, following clashes with militants of the al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front. In recent days, some regional and international leaders have warned of growing extremism in Syria. This, as insurgents fighting the Syrian government enjoy the logistical and financial supports of Western and some regional Arab countries.

The United Nations has criticized Israel for destroying 30 Palestinian properties in the Occupied West Bank.
UN Humanitarian Coordinator James Rawly says the demolitions have resulted in the displacement of 41 people, including 24 children. Rawly says some of the families have been displaced for the second time in less than two weeks. Rights groups say the demolitions are aimed at grabbing more land for Israel\\\'s settlements and military projects in the occupied Palestinian Territories. Israel has built thousands of settler units in the occupied territories despite international condemnation. The settlements are considered illegal under international law.
