A group of protesters have taken to the streets of Tehran for yet another demonstration against the US and its policies.
The protest is the latest in a series of weekly rallies held after Friday prayers. The demonstrators have dubbed this week\'s rally as \"the US apology for racism and deception.\" They chanted slogans against the US and torched its flag. The protesters also stepped on pictures of the US Undersecretary of State Wendy Sherman to show their anger at her anti-Iran remarks. Earlier this month, Sherman told a group of US senators that deception is part of the DNA, while she was talking about dealing with Iran.

The students later released documents from the embassy to prove that those employed inside the American building were doing a whole lot more than issuing visas and passports but actually trying to undermine the new government of the Islamic Republic. And now, it is not just Iran, but many of Washington\'s friends who say they are tired of the US\' spying on them.

Iran\'s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who\'s heading the Iranian delegation, has met with E-U\'s foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton on the second day of a new round of negotiations in Geneva. Ashton represents the so-called P-five-plus-one group. Her spokesman Michael Mann says the latest talks were QUOTE \"very substantial and detailed\". Iranian Foreign Minister Mohamad Javad Zarif has advised the US against imposing new sanctions against Tehran. In an interview with Time magazine, Zarif said the Geneva nuclear deal is going to be QUOTE-dead if the US Congress imposes new sanctions, even if they do not take effect for six months. Two US senators are preparing legislation to impose new sanctions on Iran in six months if the deal goes nowhere. These sanctions would target Iran\'s oil exports, foreign exchange reserves, and industry. The senators are making the move despite the Geneva deal between Tehran and the P-five-plus-one group of countries, which includes the U-S. Washington has already imposed several rounds of illegal sanctions on Iran, causing problems mainly for ordinary Iranians.

The European Union says it\'s ready to suspend some sanctions against Iran as soon as experts check that Tehran is implementing the terms of the Geneva deal.
The bloc says it backs the deal as a sign of the commitment of all sides to build trust over Iran\'s nuclear activities. A statement from EU foreign ministers says a swift implementation of the voluntary measures by all sides is now key. The statement also adds that Iran has to implement its commitments in good faith and the EU is committed to suspending sanctions as set out in the deal. The bloc says sanctions will be suspended after inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency verify the implementation of nuclear-related measures by Iran.

Representatives from Iran and the permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany are in Geneva for another round of technical talks over Iran\'s nuclear program.
The talks come after four days of similar talks in Vienna last week. Iran walked out of the last round after the US expanded its sanctions against Tehran. The added measures came as, under a landmark deal in Geneva last month, the West had promised not to slap new sanctions. Tehran says it\'s ready to pick up the talks after the E-U foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton assured it that the P-five-plus-one countries, specially the U-S, would continue the talks in goodwill. Meanwhile, France\'s Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, who had previously blocked a deal under the influence of Israel, has already cast doubt on the chances of a final agreement in Geneva.

Discussing the latest techniques of minimally invasive surgery;
Tehran has hosted the 11th International Congress on Minimally Invasive Surgeries and Techniques and the first obesity surgery; Aside from Iranian specialists, surgeons from 14 countries have also taken part in the three-day event to exchange views on the latest techniques in this delicate type of surgery. Minimally invasive surgery is becoming more and more common in hospitals. These procedures are performed through tiny incisions instead of one large opening. Because the incisions are small, patients tend to have quicker recovery and less discomfort than with conventional surgery all with the same benefits. Obesity by itself is a big threat to modern societies, but this very danger can be removed through minimally invasive surgery. According to official reports obesity has nearly doubled worldwide since 1980. Overweight and obesity are the fifth leading risk for global deaths. Although there are modern methods to cure obesity like minimally invasive surgeries, doctors advise people to have healthy diet and do daily exercises in order to stay away from such non-communicable diseases.
