Do give it a try. #HappyCookingToYou Shawarma Rice Serves 5-6 Recipe in English: Ingredients: Prepare Chicken Shawarma: -Zeera powder (Cumin powder) 2 tsp -Laung powder (Clove powder) ½ tsp -Elaichi powder (Cardamom powder) ½ tsp -Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 tbs or to taste -Onion powder 1 tbs -Lehsan powder (Garlic powder) 2 tsp -Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) 1 tsp -Darchini powder (Cinnamon powder) ½ tsp -Paprika powder 1 tbs -Dahi (Yogurt) 3 tbs -Lemon juice 3 tbs -Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste -3tbs of prepared spice mix -Chicken fillets ½ kg -Cooking oil 2 tbs Prepare Tahini Sauce: -Dahi (Yogurt) strained 3/4 Cup -Lemon juice 1 tbs -Tahini sauce 3 tbs -Paprika powder 1 tsp -Kali mirch (Black pepper) crushed ½ tsp -Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste -Dried parsley ½ tbs -Lehsan powder (Garlic powder) 1/4 tsp Prepare Salad: -Dahi (Yogurt) ½ Cup -Mayonnaise 3-4 tbs -Cream 1/4 Cup -Lemon juice 1 tbs -Kali mirch (Black pepper) crushed 1 tsp -Lehsan powder (Garlic powder) 1 tsp -Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste -Tamatar (Tomato) deseeded & chopped ½ Cup -Pyaz (Onion) chopped 1 Cup -Salad patta (Lettuce leaves) chopped ½ Cup -Bund gobhi (Cabbage) chopped 1 Cup -Kheera (Cucumber) deseeded & chopped 1 Cup Prepare Rice: -Cooking oil 1 tbs -Makhan (Butter) 4 tbs -Pyaz (Onion) chopped 1 medium -Chawal (Rice) soaked 2 Cups -Pani (Water) 3 Cups or as required -Namak (Salt) 1 & ½ tsp or to taste Directions: Prepare Chicken Shawarma: -In small bowl,add cumin powder,clove powder,cardamom powder,red chili powder,onion powder, garlic powder,black pepper powder,cinnamon powder,paprika powder,mix well & set aside. -In bowl,add yogurt,lemon juice,salt,3 tbs of prepared spice mix and whisk well. -Add chicken fillets,mix well and marinate for 30 minutes. -In frying pan,add cooking oil and fry marinated fillets from both sides until done (approx. 4-5 minutes each side). Prepare Tahini Sauce: -In bowl,add yogurt,lemon juice,tahini paste,paprika powder,black pepper crushed,salt,dried parsley, garlic powder,whisk well & set aside. Prepare Salad: -In bowl,add yogurt,mayonnaise,cream,lemon juice,black pepper crushed,garlic powder,salt and whisk well. -Add tomato,onion,lettuce leaves,cabbage,cucumber and mix well,cover and refrigerate until use. Prepare Rice: -In pot,add cooking oil,butter and let it melt. -Add onion and sauté until translucent. -Now add remaining prepared spice mix,soaked rice and mix well for 2-3 minutes. -Add water,salt,mix well and bring it boil then cook on high flame until water is reduced. -Cover and steam cook on low flame for 8-10 minutes. -Cut chicken fillets into pieces. -On serving plate,add cooked rice,chicken piece,salad and drizzle prepared sauce & serve! Recipe in Urdu: Directions: Prepare Chicken Shawarma: -Chotay ball mein zeera powder,laung powder,elaichi powder,lal mirch powder,onion powder,lehsan powder,kali mirch powder,darchini powder aur paprika powder dal ker ache tarhan mix karein & side per rakh dein. -Bowl mein dahi,lemon juice,namak aur 3 tbs prepared spice mix dal ker ache tarhan whisk ker lein. -Chicken fillets dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur 30 minutes kliya marinate ker lein. -Frying pan mein cooking oil dal dein aur marinated fillets ko dono sides sa paka lein (approx. 4-5 minutes each side). Prepare Tahini Sauce: -Bowl mein dahi,lemon juice,tahini paste,paprika powder,kali mirch crushed,namak,dried parsley aur lehsan powder dal ker ache tarhan whisk karein & side per rakh dein. Prepare Salad: -Bowl mein dahi,mayonnaise,cream,lemon juice,kali mirch crushed,lehsan powder aur namak dal ker ache tarhan whisk ker lein. -Tamatar,pyaz,salad patta,bund gobhi aur kheera dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur dhak dein aur istamal kernay tak refrigerate ker lein. Prepare Rice: -Pot mein cooking oil aur makhan dal ker melt karein. -Pyaz dal dein aur translucent hunay tak sauté ker lein. -Ab remaining prepared spice mix aur soaked chawal dal ker 2-3 minutes kliya ache tarhan mix karein. -Pani aur namak dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur ubal anay dein phir tez ancch per pani reduce hunay tak paka lein. -Dhak dein aur halki ancch per 8-10 minutes kliya paka lein. -Chicken fillets ko pieces mein cut ker lein. -Serving plate mein cooked chawal,chicken pieces aur salad dal dein aur tayyar sauce drizzle ker ka serve karein.
