What are some qualities of the knowledge system of Islam?
And likewise, what are some of the qualities in the value system of Islam?
Were concepts such as freedom or social justice brought into Islam via the West?
And when was the West acquainted with concepts such as freedom and social justice?
And did the West act honestly when trying to implement concepts such as freedom and social justice?
And finally, what was the principle reason for sending Prophets (A) and Messengers (A) and divine Books by the Almighty Allah?
The Leader of the Muslim Ummah, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, highlights "The Gift of Be'that".

What does the burning of the holy Qur\\\'an say about the sentiments of some people towards Islam?
What are some attributes that Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei uses when speaking about the holy Qur\\\'an?
They try to shamelessly justify the insult to Quran under the pretext of \\\'freedom of speech\\\' etc.
And is the burning of the Qur\\\'an the act of just one individual or are there other hands at play? Who is behind the scenes?
His eminence, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei raises a rhetorical question, \\\"Does Your Country Allow Any Insult To The Zionist Symbols?\\\"

This world and the hereafter are a single line of action.
Where do we need to act and where do we reap eternal results?
Are there any servants of Allah who while being in this world, witness the next phase i.e. the hereafter?
What did Zayd ibn Harith say when the Prophet (S) asked him \\\"How are you?\\\"? And what did Zayd ibn Harith provide as a sign of his certainty?
Finally, what did the Prophet (S) tell Zayd?
The late Ayatollah Misbah-Yazdi (R) provides us with a short, but profound lesson on the basics of loving Allah.

And removing the Hijab is what kind of Haram act?
And how would the women who are removing their Hijab react if they knew who was truly behind this propaganda and wave of removing the Hijab?
And finally, if the enemy has entered the field with a plan and a strategy, then what should the defenders of Hijab do in turn?

What does Shaykh Usama Abdulghani say regarding an unprecedented act that has been committed in the city of London by the oppressors?
And how is the takeover and the shutting down of the Islamic Centre of England an event which resonates with the story of Pharaoh that we find in the holy Qur\'an?
Furthermore, how is the takeover of the Islamic Centre of England similar to the events that occurred after the invasion of Iraq by the United States of America?
And finally, what do the Muslims of the Greater London area, as well as Great Britain and all over the world need to do in order to make sure that we are given our God-given right of freedom of religion that is slowly, but surely being usurped by the arrogant and materialist powers of the world?
In this Scholar Clip, Shaykh Usama Abdulghani speaks about \"The Brazen Takeover of The Islamic Center in London\" and what needs to be done in response.

How does a person act when they like or love someone?
And with this answer in mind, how do we act when we are in the presence of Allah; such as during our 5 daily Salat?
What does eating less food or wearing simple clothes have to do with the love for Allah?
Is it wrong to have love for Allah, and yet, want to eat good food and wear nice clothes?
Still, what is an unintended consequence of wearing nice clothes and eating good food, in regards to our love for Allah?
And what does it mean to have Shirk, when talking about having the love for Allah in one\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s heart?
Finally, what are the signs that you love Allah? And why should one \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Eat Less, Wear Simple, Love Allah\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\".

- The tragedy of the Lady of Islam, Bibi Fatima, and the uncertainty about the location of her burial
- The shrines of the Prophet\'s family and companions in Baqi were destroyed almost a century ago when the Wahhabis gained control of Medina
- In stark contrast, the UN Under-Secretary-General, Mr. Miguel Angel Moratinos, who is in charge of the UN\'s Plan of Action to Safeguard Religious Sites, visited the Grand Ayatullah Sayyid ‘Ali Sistani.
- They discussed promoting a culture of peaceful coexistence, rejecting violence and hatred, establishing values of harmoney that are based on genuine concern for rights and mutual respect among adherents of different religions
- Our Grand Marja‘ pointed out that the tragidies suffered by many people of different ethnic & social groups in many parts of the world have been the result of three specific issues
- Looking at the rise of extremist movements that use blind violence against the defenceless
- For centuries, Muslim dynasties dominated the Middle Eastern area from north Africa and the Arab Middle East to Asia Minor and Eastern Europe – Umayyid, ‘Abbāsid, and Othmani – they didn’t have any agenda that whatever land they occupy and dominate, the first act to be done was to demolish the religious sites of other faiths.
- It all started with the Saudis. Unfortunately, because of its oil, the West bows down to them and ignores their crimes in suppressing the minorities.
- One passage from the speech of Bibi Fāṭimah (a) discussing 8 important pillars of our faith, and their positive effects

When does an enemy feel that it is the best time to strike a nation?
What is the result when the officials of a country disregard and act against the words of the nation’s leader?
Besides, what was the Leader of the Islamic Revolution\\\'s opinion on negotiating with America?
Furthermore, how are differences of opinion good and useful, at times?
And where should there be no differences of opinion?
Moreover, when a nation has experienced nothing but maliciousness and hostility from another nation but still wants to negotiate with it, what does it say about the former?
Additionally, despite being at each other’s throats, do Trump and Biden show disunity on the international front?
And what do the pages of history teach us about maintaining internal unity?
But how was Muawiyah successful in overcoming the army of Imam Ali (A) in the battle of Siffin?
And finally, why is it crucial for a nation to maintain a united front?
Agha Alireza Panahian speaks and explains the importance of internal unity and obeying the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, as he asks all of us \\\"Are You The Ashath al-Kindi of Your Time?\\\".

Transcript:
One of the factors that expands one\'s capacity, which we discussed last night, is good manners and morals [akhlaq], especially at home and with one\'s family. The Holy Prophet (s), who had the most and highest level of capacity, had the best etiquette of all creation. In this regard, his (s) capacity was great.
May God have mercy on Shaheed Beheshti. In his memoirs, he writes that I asked Imam Khomeini, \"During the time when you were young in Qom, who taught the class on etiquette and morals [akhlaq]?\" Imam Khomeini said that when I was young, there was no class on etiquette and morals [akhlaq]. There were individuals who embodied good etiquette and morals, who we learned from them through their actions.
No one sat and taught good etiquette and morals [akhlaq] in a class. There were individuals who embodied good akhlaq. Individuals like Ayatollah Abdul Karim Haeri Yazdi, whose entire conduct and behaviors embodied good akhlaq. I will give you one example. Notice how if someone were to see this, for the rest of their life, they would not forget it.
One day, it was raining, and it had rained very much. At that time, Qom had dirt roads, not asphalt roads- so when it rained, the streets would become muddy. Once a seminary student was passing through one of these streets. He was moving quickly in order to make it in time for his lesson. [As he was walking], he stepped in a muddy pit, and one of his shoes got stuck inside the muddy pit. He limped over to a wall and stood their one-legged wondering what he would do now. At that moment, Ayatollah Abdul Karim Haeri Yazdi, the great marja\' taqlid who truly was a great man. He was also elderly. From his place of study, which was in a mosque close by, Ayatollah Abdul Karim Haeri Yazdi came out and saw this seminary student standing with one leg while his shoe was stuck in the mud. He took off his own shoes and put it on the foot of the seminary student. He told him wear this and go to your lesson. This seminary student was shocked and said, \"Agha, I will think of something to do.\" Ayatollah Abdul Karim Haeri Yazdi without any shoes said, \"No, my home is close by. I will go home and wash my feet. You go to your studies.\"
Now look at this, for this eldery maraj\' taqlid to have an interaction like this with a youth, this is better than a thousand lessons of akhlaq given verbally. In fact, etiquette and morals [akhlaq], gnosticism [irfan], training and education [tarbiyat], before they are to be read about in books or heard in lectures, they must be seen. A person must see someone who is like this, not just hear about it or read about it in books. They must see someone like this.
Allamah Majlesi, may God be pleased with him, who compiled the \"Bihar al-Anwar\" and was a great person- on Thursday nights, he used to gather his family and speak to them for 30 minutes. He would tell them a narration [hadith], give them admonishments and advice, tell them some Islamic rulings, and recite a eulogy. He would speak to them for 30 minutes. But this Allamah Majlesi, who would speak to them for 30 minutes, he would act on these for an entire week. When his children would see his actions, akhlaq, kindness, compassion, and honesty, his 30 minutes of speaking had a deep effect within the depths of their being.
I will never forget this. There was a successful mother who lived in Tehran. She had four children who each of them was better, nobler, more religious, and more respecful than the next. They were also very educated. They asked this successful mother that how were you able to raise such good kids? Nowadays, parents don\'t have much influence over their children. It is truly like this. So they asked this successful mother that how did you raise such good kids? She said something very wise. She said that whatever I wanted my children to become, I myself practiced. That which I wanted my children to be, I myself became it.

Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei narrates and explains a tradition stated by the Messenger of Allah, the holy Prophet Muhammad (S), where his eminence (S) speaks about the results of \\\"The Combination of Forbearance and Knowledge\\\".
Yet, what is the most virtuous of combinations?
What is the correct definition of forbearance?
What is a practical example of forbearance?
How should a person act when they are angered?
And on the other hand, how should a person act when they are elated?
What is an unintended consequence of knowledge?
Finally, what is the result of the combination of forbearance with knowledge?
Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei expounds upon the wise words of the Messenger of Allah, the holy Prophet Muhammad (S), explaining to us what happens when we combine forbearance with knowledge.

Our condolences to all the believers, all across the world, wherever they are, upon the holy months of Muharram and Safar.
As many countless millions across the world already know, the 10th of Muharram is the day of the martyrdom of the 3rd divinely appointed Imam, Imam Husayn ibn Ali (A), who was martyred on the plains of Karbala in the year 61 AH of the Islamic calendar.
And this year, countless millions across the world once again proudly commemorated the mission of Imam Husayn ibn Ali (A) and most eagerly mourned over the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (A), and his family members and companions, who accompanied his eminence into the divine hands of martyrdom as they stood up for Truth and Justice against the overwhelming forces of evil and falsehood.
Yet, one of the most less known words of Imam Husayn (A), are the words of his eminence in Mina; also known as the Mina sermon.
In this short 7 part series, Islamic Pulse has endeavored to bring forth the words of Imam Husayn (A) given by his eminence in the Mina sermon.
But what does the 7th part of the Mina sermon entail?
How do the oppressors and tyrants act against Allah?
And what do the oppressors do in the cities that are under their control as far as the pulpit is concerned?
And who is Imam Husayn\\\\\\\'s Mina Sermon primarily addressed to?
How do these merciless oppressors and tyrants treat the weak and oppressed people?
Finally, what will you do with the words of advice of Imam Husayn (A) that are entailed in the Mina sermon?
Salutations be upon Husayn!
Salutations be upon Ali ibne Husayn!
Salutations be upon the children of Husayn!
Salutations be upon the companions of Husayn!

==============================
We want to reach the goal that God has created us for. What should we do? From where should we start?
One starting point is choosing your goal well. Moving forward, having the insight to have a program to move forward and having enthusiasm to reach the destination, are very dependent on our seeing the goal. Whenever you see your heart feels cold, whenever you see you don’t have that needed speed and eagerness, whenever you see you can’t find the way and don’t know what you should do, know that your connection with your goal has become weak.
For each deed you should have the intention of getting close to God. When you say, “To get close to God,” you’re saying your goal. Mention your goal, then take action. Mention your goal, then take action. Doing good deeds and worshiping without mentioning the goal is useless. Interestingly you must keep repeating this. If you prayed but didn’t have the intention of getting close to God, you have to pray again. It was useless.
Having a goal is this important! This doesn’t mean just saying you believe and then thinking that now you’re a believer. You should keep remembering this goal and being concerned with it for each act. You should take action because of it. You want to chat with your friend or you want to rest. You want to get up at dawn. You want to go to work tomorrow. You should say it. You should repeat it in your heart. “I’m doing these for that goal.” You should repeat this.
How many actions do you do every day? Can you count the actions you do in your day? “I go to work.” Before going to work, you do one hundred other things too. One is that you get dressed. Let’s talk about getting dressed. We don’t count it as an activity. What is your intention for wearing these clothes? “I’m just wearing clothes. I can’t go without clothes! I have to wear clothes.” “Why are you wearing these clothes?” “I’ve bought them to wear them!” A tradition says that if you wear clothes to attract people’s attention, God won’t look at you as long as you’re wearing those clothes. “But this was the most normal act. This was my everyday coat!” What was your intention today for wearing this normal, everyday coat?”
This is how religion trains us. Religiosity starts from this point. “A person wears clothes to attract people’s attention. Do I have to look ugly? Should I wear a sack?!” No, but why do you want to attract people’s attention? Because of God or because of yourself? “Just forget it! You look at my intentions in too much detail!” It’s fine if you look proper to others. It’s good that you bought good clothes. Whether your clothes are normal, average or good, say, “God, I want to look good because of You.”
[One says,] “But I don’t remember to do this!” If you don’t pay attention to this, you won’t move toward your goal! You’ll also lose the opportunities you have. Then you will wonder why you don’t move forward. It’s because you’re not in a hurry and don’t feel a pressing need. Because of God! After putting on your clothes, won’t you say goodbye before you go out? Why do you want to say goodbye? “But we always say goodbye! Can I just make the intention that from now on whenever I say goodbye it’s for the sake of God?”
Why do you want to take a step toward your goal just once? You don’t want to put effort to move toward your goal again? You’ve become tired of your goal!? Is this repetition bothering you? One time forever? Maybe you want a computer to do it for you?! So you don’t want to become close to God at all. Go live your life.
A person who has a strong connection with his goal will remember it each time. Now that God has made it so simple and you can move toward God with your simple deeds, why don’t you do it? You’re announcing to others, “People, I know God. This God is boring for you to want to remember Him all the time. So don’t come toward Him. My life is boring too. Don’t make your life boring.” Is this what you want to announce? You haven’t gone toward God yourself and now you want to prevent others as well?
One should pay attention to his goal very much. And one should have a constant connection with his goal. Whenever you see your heart feels cold, whenever you see you don’t have that needed speed and eagerness, whenever you see you can’t find the way and don’t know what you should do, know that your connection with your goal has weakened. A person who has a strong connection with his goal will remember it each time.
For all your deeds, you should have the intention of getting close to God. “Getting close to God” means saying our goal. Doing good deeds and worshiping without mentioning the goal is useless. Religiosity starts from this point.

Our condolences to the believers all across the world upon these days of Muharram and the commemoration of the mission and martyrdom of the Master of Martyrs, Imam Husayn (A).
What are the months in the Islamic calendar that have resulted in the safety and protection of Islam?
And what is the importance of mentioning the sufferings of the Ahl al-Bayt (A)?
And in what manner must one conduct these mourning ceremonies where the sufferings of the Ahl al-Bayt (A) are mentioned?
And what act of Imam Husayn (A) has kept Islam alive?
What should the speakers and orators of the mourning ceremonies speak about?
Finally, what do we need the people to be prepared for?
The esteemed Imam Ruhollah Khomeini (R) highlights that we need to prepare the people for sacrifice.
Imam Khomeini (R) answers the question: \"Should The Traditional Azadari Continue?\".
We Are The Nation of Martyrdom.

Someone says, “I want to move away from our religious neighborhood. I’ll move to a nonreligious neighborhood where no one cares about what others do. When you get up in the morning, neighbors won’t talk about whether you pray. Here, our neighbor came and said, ‘Your light isn’t on in the mornings. Don’t you pray?!’ ‘That doesn’t have anything to do with you! Maybe we pray in the dark.’ Everyone is judging each other. In our city, everyone expects others. Everyone is attacking each other based on their imaginations.”
One of the factors that causes people to become infatuated with western culture is this. When they go to western countries, they see what we are discussing in these sessions. This is called “acknowledging people’s differences.” They see this in the west. They see this in the culture of western people. Acknowledging people’s differences brings calm. They say, “I love this calmness.” Why? Actually, you should go to a place where everyone cares about you and helps you! This is being sophisticated, not what you see in western culture where people don’t care about each other due to their selfishness. But a religious person isn’t selfish. He cares due to his wanting to serve people and his being affectionate and kind! Why shouldn’t he care about others?
Our religion has said this too. Why should you search for this in the west? Why should you become infatuated with western culture, my dear? It’s said that if you see a wrong behavior, think positively about the person as much as is possible. For example, “I saw this husband and wife fighting and cursing each other.” Say, “They were practicing to see if they can curse someone! They were joking!” “No, he was really angry! He broke a glass too.” [Say,] “He was acting to see if he knows how to act. The husband and wife wanted to see if they are able to break a glass like in films. It was for fun. What’s wrong with that?!”
A tradition says, “A believer thinks good thoughts about others as much as is possible.” If it wasn’t possible to think good about him, you shouldn’t look at him as a sinner the next morning. Why? He certainly repented last night. He had time until morning. He sinned yesterday. You shouldn’t judge him today. We have some rules in our religion, which bring calmness more than what exists in the west. We are more western than western people [in these cases]! No one should pry into what others do. No one should make a bad judgement about others. No one should backbite. No one should be suspicious about others. A believer should think good thoughts about others. If a believer acts according to his beliefs, his behavior is even more sophisticated than theirs is!
Some people told Imam Khomeini, “We should fire all the judges who were working during Shah’s time.” Imam Khomeini said, “No, why do you want to fire them?” They said, “As a rule, they aren’t believers!” Imam Khomeini said, “According to which rule?” Someone wanted to say something to finish it up. A judge should be just. Just [in terms of religion] means he has to be pious and not do sins openly. So he said, “Some of these judges shave their beards and you have forbidden this.” Imam Khomeini immediately responded, “I say it’s forbidden. Maybe there is another Religious Authority who says it’s not forbidden.”
This is being sophisticated. Let me give you a higher example. A rich man went from Qazvin to Najaf Ashraf to give his Khoms tax to Imam Khomeini. He related, “I wanted to give my Khoms and he asked me, ‘Is this your yearly Khoms?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘Who were you giving it to before?’” Imam Khomeini guessed that he had been giving his Khoms tax to another Religious Authority and had recently changed. The man responded, “I used to give it to Mr. …” who wasn’t very well-known. Imam Khomeini said, “Perhaps he has plans about how to use your Khoms and wants to give it to the seminary students. Or he is doing a cultural activity and is counting on receiving your Khoms every year. If you don’t give your Khoms to him this year, it will harm his plans. Give your Khoms to that same person this year too.”
This is being sophisticated, not what you see in western culture where people don’t care about each other due to their selfishness. But a religious person isn’t selfish. He cares due to his wanting to serve people and his being affectionate and kind! Why shouldn’t he care about others?
A person says, “I’m more comfortable there because no one cares what I do.” Why? Actually, you should go to a place where everyone cares about you and helps you! This is what will captivate the west. It’s the culture of religion. The world is waiting to see this. You see a small example of this in Arbaeen.

We want God to give us security. We want to seek refuge in God as a result of having experienced insecurity. What do we need to know to make this come about better? What is it? God\'s power. His power!
I will tell you now. Read the Qur\'an a lot. God, the Almighty, seriously intends to convince everyone who reads these verses that He is the first and last power in the universe. He wants to prove to you that He is a superpower, and actually He is the only power.
God is the absolute power. He does whatever He wants. He forgives, guides and grants sustenance to whomever He wants. [Qur’an 3:129, 74:31, 2:212] He attributes many things to Himself. “We [God] created heaven and earth. We said this and that.” God creates an upheaval! A person gradually accepts this.
Therefore, I ask you to first look at the Qur\'an as an educational, spiritually effective, constructive book, not as a book that should be translated scientifically to take rulings and lessons from it. Let it correct you.
For example, they give eggplant stew to someone in a laboratory and say, “Test this and see if it’s good or not. Check the amount of vitamins in it.” This scientist won’t eat it even if he is dying from hunger. He wants to test this food. Many of us who go toward the Qur’an act like this scientist in the laboratory does. “Let’s see what’s in it.” Eat it! Eat it! You’re weak from hunger. Consume the Qur’an!
For example, one is listening to music. [Someone says,] “You’re listening to music a lot. You really enjoy it!” [He replies,] “No, I’ve been asked to write down the lyrics of these 100 songs. That’s what I’m doing. I don’t like them at all. I can’t relate to them. I don’t know their genres or anything about them.” This is a meaningless connection with music. The purpose of music is not for you to write the lyrics! A person who does this is a researcher and doesn’t understand the elements of music. He doesn’t fly with music.
Does anyone fly with music? Yes, as much as a hen can fly! But with the Qur’an, one flies to God Himself. He flies through the atmosphere and through the galaxy.
Once there was an art student in the university who was also a painter. As I was walking through the university campus, I saw him painting. There was a small cassette player next to him playing music. I asked him very cautiously, “Why are you listening to this music?” He said, “Music makes the soul more delicate, and I am doing something delicate now. I want this delicacy to be conveyed.” He was right. I said, “If I suggest something, will you try it? Listen to the Qur’an for a while.” He said, “Qur’an?” I remember he said this in surprise. I answered, “Yes, see if it has the same effect.”
I went to that same college the next month. He came to me very upset! I asked myself, “What should I do now? It seems my suggestion wasn’t appropriate for him.” He was truly upset. He came forward and said angrily, “I’ve wasted my life! Why hadn’t I ever done this before? You don’t know what an impact this has had on me!” He was ahead of the one who had suggested this!
Use the Qur’an. Recite the Qur’an a lot. God, the Almighty, seriously intends to convince everyone who reads these verses that He is the first and last power in the universe. He wants to prove to you that He is a superpower, and actually He is the only power.

A clear sign of faith is responsibility for one\'s actions. Imām Jaʿfar aṣ-Ṣādiq (ʿa) said, \"A faithful person is always worried about two things. The first includes the past sins for which he does not know how Allāh (swt) will act in regards to them, while the second is for what is left of his life, during which he is uncertain of how he will behave.\"

The light of Allah is always shining bright upon the earth, in every era, since the time of Prophet Adam.
Throughout the ages, the names of these divinely created lights have changed, from Noah to Abraham, from Jacob to Joseph, from Moses to Jesus, and from Mohammad to Ali.
This light of Allah then continued on through the divinely appointed Imams, until now it is the 12th Imam, who is awaiting, planning, strategizing, and acting towards his divine reappearance.
Yet, what is our individual and collective responsibility in this era that is the occultation of the 12th divinely appointed Imam?
What must we do and how must we act?
What is the significance of the pebbles that we pick up in Muzdalefa while we are undertaking the Hajj?
What tools should we use to fight the Shayateen and the oppressors of our time?
Finally, what fundamental role does the media front play in all this?
Esteemed scholar Shaykh Shafiq Huda explains and answers with passion and deep insight.

«لِتَسکُنوا إلَیها» “
… so that you may take comfort in them.
”«وَ جعَلَ بَینَکُم مَوَدَّةً وَ رَحمَة» “
… and He put between you love and compassion.” [Qur’an 30:21]
The Almighty God mentions three very important functions of marriage in this verse. Play these two roles. Men should play two roles for women. Women too should play two roles for men. However, some men and women aren’t able to play both of these roles. These two roles have been mentioned using the words “love and compassion” in this verse. They have been mentioned but not explained.
Your wife’s age is close to your age. And women have their own personalities. They might even manage you. They understand a lot too. Today’s women understand a lot. But sometimes they like to play the role of a spoiled, little girl who is being cute for her dad. In such a case, you should act like her father. You should act nobly. She may cry and complain. Say, “Aw, it’s ok. I’ll buy it for you!” Act nobly. Don’t act childishly. When she’s acting childishly you behave nobly. You’re like her father. Sometimes a woman plays this role.
At other times your wife isn’t playing the role of a little girl who is being cute for her dad. She plays the role of a mother for a little boy, which is you. You too sometimes become like a little boy who needs his mom. Women should keep this in mind that their husbands have just been separated from their moms! Today’s young men are a little spoiled. If you see a man who asks a lot for kindness from his wife, this means he has become a little too feminine. No, you’re a man. Be firm. But sometimes a man breaks down like a little boy and needs his wife to behave nobly. His wife should say, “It’s ok. It’ll be alright.” Like a mom. Have you seen how moms act at home? Women should play this role.
So the role of a little girl and a mom are two coupled roles that a skilled women should play at home. And the role of a dad and a little boy are two coupled roles that men should play for women.
