A recently-emerged video from Bahrain shows that the ruling family's relentless crackdown on popular anti-government protests continues to take its toll on Bahraini minors.
The video, released by activists, shows how Saudi-backed forces detain children despite the Al Khalifa family's recent lifting of countrywide martial law it had put into force back in March.
Youngsters protesting the ongoing violent suppression are shown fleeing police cars on the eastern island of Sitra.
The regime forces then catch up with the kids and brutally beat one of them before abducting a number of the children.

The comments came after at least 150 people were injured after Israeli troops clashed with Palestinian protesters outside Ofer prison in the occupied West Bank. The protest was held to show solidarity with Palestinian prisoners who are on hunger strike in Israeli jails with protesters calling for their immediate release. Three journalists are reported to be among the injured.

North Korea has deported an American veteran who\'d been held since October for alleged hostile acts against Pyongyang.
North Korean officials say they\'ve released 85-year-old Merrill Newman after he apologized for his alleged crimes during the Korean War, and also because of his age and health condition. The war veteran was pulled from a plane on October 26th while preparing to leave the country after a 10-day tour. He\'s now landed in Beijing, expressing happiness to be on his way home. Meanwhile, U-S Vice President Joe Biden has hailed North Korea for releasing the man, saying it was wrong to detain him in the first place. Biden has also called for another detained American to be swiftly released.
